On Tuesday, Oct 28- Dr. Rod Brown a Summerfield resident and owner of Summerfield Family Chiropractic, had a ground breaking for a new medical complex in Summerfield. Dr. Brown and his wife Cindy, have been looking for the opportunity to provide a facility that would fit the needs of the community. The complex will be named "Summerfield Medplex", which will be 4500 square feet and located at the intersection of Summerfield and Auburn Road, just off Highway 220 behind "Purgason's". Dr. Brown and Sean Crane (EVP/COO of Fresh Market) are business partners in this venture. The building will provide space for 3 medical offices and is scheduled for completion the first of the year. For immediate release Summerfield Medplex had their ground breaking for their medical office building located at 4909 Auburn Road in Summerfield on Tuesday, October 28, 2014.
"We began this project with the intent of giving something back to our community where we live, work and raise our children." Dr. Rod Brown has served Summerfield as its first chiropractor for 15 years and Mr. Sean Crane is the EVP & Chief Operating Officer of The Fresh Market, Inc. a national chain that is headquartered here in the Triad. The house that was razed was donated to Summerfield Fire Department for training purposes. We have worked closely with the Town of Summerfield to preserve the historic integrity of our town with the design of the all-brick building. The project was started in January and should be complete by early 2015.The Summerfield Medplex is located on the corner of Summerfield and Auburn Roads and adjacent to CVS and Walgreen's and will have 4,500 square feet of available medical office space.
